Video Games / Shovel Knight

Had a blast playing this game. Shovel Knight was just the right amount of nostalgia with a mix of modern. I'm loving the DLC content they are creating making each new character feel each like a separate game. Plague of Shadows kicked my ass a few times. Well done Yacht Club.

Recently rewatched The Next Generation and finally watched Voyager. I enjoyed TNG better as I felt it had better character development and more relatable.
Enterprise was also enjoyable too bad it was canceled.

I'm excited about this. Looks to be browser based, with eventual desktop builds. Everyone is pissed about the subscriptions as well.

Video Games / Super Mario Odyssey

I am looking forward to the new open world as Mario 64 had. To date I think 64 is my favorite. This new Mario Odyssey has some strange ideas such as realistic humans side by side with Mario,, it stands out as offputting, but we shall see. The graphics and game engine look nice. Mario's new hat trick seems interesting. I'm a bit upset that everything in Mario has to have a face or come to life. Can't it just be a powerup without a life force?

Currently writing the story and game design of a new project. Hush hush - it's a 2D platformer with elements of Mega Man. Hopefully I can share some ideas along the way.

I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas. As I get older I've come to realize it's not about getting gifts, but giving. Lame, but true as it was so much fun watching my kids open their gifts and playing with them.
