Update bishes!
For those who have not seen the latest Twatlight spoof, enjoy it here. This was finished about a
month ago, we just haven't updated the site since then.
Sorry for the lack of updates. It has been really busy, but onto the news.
We are very busy working on our new Flash game. It'll be a 2D platformer, much like your
classic Mario or even more recently Castle Crashing the Beard.
Since neither of us have created a platformer before, it is a bit of a learning
curve of what we can and can't do in Flash. Our top concerns in doing this game are:
- Will it be fun to play?
- Is it replayable?
- Is the performace great?
Some issues with Flash is sometimes it just can't handle everything you want to have on screen.
There are some pretty fun Flash games out there, but their performace sucks. Flash simply can't
handle all those vector points on screen. We have already mentioned this many times,
but there, you have it again.
Whining aside, expect the new game to be out in about 2 weeks. We're notoriously bad at keeping
deadlines but we're trying hard to get new games done as soon as possible.
Also heard that Flash CS5 will no longer have the iPhone capablity since Steve Jobs is awesome.
We were actually excited for this new feature in Flash CS5 - guess we will just have to be
impressed with their new Text Tool. Yea that totally outweighs the iPhone feature.
To be fair, it's not only Adobe's fault. In addition to them not being able to deliver a version of
Flash Player that doesn't look like it was written by a bunch of first-graders, Apple also shares
the blame with their new licensing scheme. Everyone, say 'Thank you, Steve Jobs.'
